Ultrasound of the male genitals is a complex of ultrasound examinations performed in order to detect diseases of the reproductive system in men. The main types of diagnostics include ultrasound of the prostate gland (transabdominal, transrectal, combined), ultrasound of the scrotum (testicles, appendages of the testicles, spermatic cords), ultrasound of the penis. If necessary, the echography of the genitals is supplemented by a Doppler examination of the vessels. Ultrasound of the male genital area is indispensable for detecting developmental abnormalities, inflammatory and tumor diseases, injuries, causes of infertility and erectile dysfunction.
