Breast elastography is a method of ultrasound evaluation of the elasticity of the glands based on the results of low pressure and obtaining a color image showing areas of different densities. Allows you to evaluate the structure of the mammary glands and regional lymph nodes. It is used in the diagnosis of pathological formations of various nature to assess their structure, content and degree of malignancy by the difference in stiffness in the lesion area. Elastography complements routine ultrasound of the mammary glands. It is performed on an outpatient basis on devices equipped with a special sensor and software for sonoelastography.
