Iliac x-ray is a method of non-invasive examination based on the ability of tissues to absorb X-rays to varying degrees, followed by fixing the degree of its attenuation and obtaining black-and-white images. It is used to visualize the iliac bone, its parts and structure as a whole, to determine the internal structure and compliance of bone density with age norms, to assess the condition of articular surfaces. It is used in the diagnosis of traumatic injuries, inflammatory and tumor processes, as well as to identify changes in bone density and its possible causes. It is carried out natively after preliminary non-drug preparation (diet for the previous two days). According to the indications, the technique is combined with a similar examination of all pelvic bones in various projections.
